Onkyo Icon A-50 Network Integrated Amplifier

Onkyo

Onkyo Icon A-50 Network Integrated Amplifier

2-channel Class AB integrated • 110W/ch (FTC, 8Ω) • Dirac Live® • HDMI ARC • MM/MC phono • Premium 32-bit/768kHz DAC

Meet the A-50

The Onkyo Icon A-50 Network Integrated Amplifier is designed to be a complete, modern two-channel hub: serious power amplification, onboard digital conversion, network streaming, and room correction in a single, fan-less chassis. Onkyo’s patented DIDRC (Dynamic Intermodulation Distortion Reduction Circuitry) is used in the analog filter of the DAC to help reduce very-high-frequency noise from digital sources for a cleaner, more comfortable sound.

Built for real systems: a rigid 5mm-thick extruded aluminum front panel, an “oval chassis” with press lines to help disperse vibration, and high-quality power-supply parts intended to reduce vibration and signal degradation.

Dirac Live® Room Correction Wi-Fi + LAN Streaming HDMI ARC MM/MC Phono 32-bit / 768kHz DAC

Highlights & Benefits

  • Real-world power — rated at 110W/ch (FTC, 8Ω, 20Hz–20kHz) with the current delivery to energize both bookshelf and floorstanding speakers.
  • Dirac Live included — built-in Dirac Live® Room Correction (with an optional license upgrade available for the full version).
  • Modern streaming — Wi-Fi/LAN streaming plus wide platform support, with app-based control via Onkyo Controller.
  • TV-friendly hi-fiHDMI ARC brings television audio into a proper stereo system with simple one-cable connection.
  • Vinyl-ready inputMM/MC phono support for turntables and a dedicated phono terminal.
  • One-box simplicity — the Onkyo Icon A-50 Network Integrated Amplifier streamlines your rack while keeping performance-first priorities.

Technology & Design

Class AB amplification — a traditional hi-fi topology designed to balance control, musicality, and efficiency.

DIDRC analog filtering — a high slew-rate circuit in the DAC’s analog filter stage designed to reduce noise in very high frequency bands of digital sources.

Fan-less operation — eliminates fan noise for quieter critical listening.

Connectivity for mixed systems — supports analog sources, digital inputs, HDMI ARC for TV audio, and network casting/streaming.

FAQ — A-50

What does Dirac Live do here?

Dirac Live® Room Correction is built-in to help correct room-related frequency issues and improve clarity. Onkyo notes an optional license purchase is available for the full version.

Can it handle vinyl and TV audio?

Yes. Use the MM/MC phono input for a turntable and HDMI ARC for TV audio, alongside other analog and digital sources.

How do I control streaming?

Use the Onkyo Controller app to manage settings and supported streaming/casting options from the listening position.

Why Buy From Us

  • Speaker matching advice (room size, sensitivity, impedance)
  • Help setting up HDMI ARC and streaming control
  • Turntable setup support (MM vs MC, grounding, gain staging)
  • Guidance with Dirac Live calibration workflow
